Our Inspectors are graduates of the most respected Home Inspection  Institutes and are members of NAHI,  ASHI and other industry-related associations, applying the highest industry standards to our work.

Edy Lopes

Our founder and GM, Edy has been in the home inspection business for over 9 years, specializing in mold identification and its subsequent removal.  He's an entrepreneur par excellence, having built SafeHome inspections's with his "bare" hands.  His utmost concern today lies in  doing all it takes to guarantee the excellent quality of services provided by SafeHome Inspections. 

Tony Fernandez

Educated as a Civil Engineer, Evandro has also held positions in leading Construction and Pollution Control firms during his 30+ years in the construction industry.  Also a licensed Realtor , Evandro brings a wide ranging perspective to his present career as a Home Inspector.  Having completed over 1,000 inspections, Fluent in English and Spanish as well as his native Brazilian Portuguese, Evandro is one of the most highly qualified expert inspectors.

Tony comes from an extensive background in resort hotels through-out the Caribbean.  In over 20 years in the hospitality industry, supervising newly build or refurbishing of hotel properties, inspecting hotel and commercial facilities and operating hotels, the transition to inspecting residential homes was a natural extension of his expertise.  As a full-time SafeHome Inspector, Tony has logged well over hundreds of inspections.  Fluent in English and Spanish (he also speaks Italian and French) and with a genuine love of people.

Arjang brings to SafeHome an incredibly varied scope of experiences starting with a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from George Washington University, specializations in Energy & Power and extensive engineering experience both here in the U.S. and abroad.   Arjang's interest range far and wide from a life-long dedication to sports (Soccer & Tennis both of which he coaches) to specialties in Irrigation and water preservation.  With hundreds and hundreds of Home Inspections conducted Arjang too is a highly qualified SafeHome Inspector.

Arjang Roshan

A Washington native, Duane's father an Industrial Arts teacher in the DC school system, instilled a love for all things built by the imagination and effort in Duane.  As a result, Duane spent many years in construction with some of the area's foremost firms including: Case Construction,  The Mclauglin Group, Sears Remodeling and even worked as a Site Supervisor on the repaving project of the Andrews Air Force Base's Air National Guard airstrip.  As a mortgage broker with the Mortgage Investors Corp. for many years, during which he frequently came into contact with Home Inspectors, Duane decided to expand his knowledge into this field and eventually became a full-time inspector with SafeHome.  Today with well over hundreds and hundreds of inspections to his credit, we're proud to have him on our team

Duane Bullock

John, a NAHI member, holds a Bachelor's of Science degree.  He has extensive knowledge of the home improvement and construction industry with over 10 years residential construction experience, specializing in historical restorations and new construction.  John also has over 14 years of environmental regulatory experience and performed thousands of compliance inspections, often working closely with the Maryland Department of the Environment.  Areas of expertise include hazardous materials, underground fuel tanks, asbestos, mold, lead paint, storm water management, and air quality standards.  This broad background combined with his formal education and training in home inspections adds considerably to the quality of the home and building inspection that SafeHome conducts.

John Fullum

Werner Kanitz

A one time Business Sciences professor at Brazil's largest university and with a long background in the Sales & Marketing industry, Werner joined SafeHome to develop our administrative and marketing capabilities.  During the real estate boom of 2003-2006 the need for qualified inspectors opened the door for Werner to transition into the role of Home Inspector.  Today after more than hundreds and hundreds of inspections and counting, Werner divides his time between the administrative, sales and operational sides of SafeHome.
